The Next 7 Days (August 14-20)

Check out what’s planned for the upcoming week:

AUGUST 14: Bring your WIP to work alongside other (socially distant) writers at the O.C. Writers’ Monday Morning write-in at High Ground Coffee House (25522 Marguerite Parkway, #102, Mission Viejo). O.C. Writers member Barb DeLong generally arrives around 8 a.m. and leads a breakout discussion at 11 a.m. for those who want to take a break. High Ground offers indoor and outdoor work tables, but all are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The shop follows current Covid rules. For more information, send an email to Barb at info@oc-writers.com.

AUGUST 16: Book Carnival will host a virtual event with author Stephen Maitland-Lewis (Legacy of Atonement) at 6 p.m. Check the website for more information. http://www.annesbookcarnival.com/events.

AUGUST 17: Lake Forest Writers’ Roundtable discussion group, featuring writing and publishing business topics, takes place from 10:45 a.m. to noon on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. To receive Zoom access information, email Roundtable leader Barb DeLong at delongbarb15@gmail.com.

AUGUST 19: Book Carnival will host an in-person event with author Carl Vonderau (Saving Myles), in conversation with author Matt Coyle (Last Redemption) at 2 p.m. Check the website for more information. http://www.annesbookcarnival.com/events.

AUGUST 20: Book Carnival will host an in-person event with authors Naomi Hirahara (Evergreen) and Rachel Howzell Hall (What Never Happened) at 12 p.m. Check the website for more information. http://www.annesbookcarnival.com/events.

We do our best to present accurate and up-to-date information, but it would still be wise to double-check before attending.
