AUGUST 21: *NEW WEEKLY WRITE-IN* Join O.C. Writers starting at 8 a.m. at Polly’s Pies (23701 Moulton Pkwy, Laguna Hills) for some heads-down work. The group will break about 11 p.m. for a a writerly discussion, covering whatever the group wants to discuss. The group has a standing reservation for a long table in the private room. The group is led by Barb DeLong. There is no cost for the write-in, but please consider buying something at the venue to thank them for welcoming the group. AUGUST 22: **PLEASE NOTE THE NEW DAY** Bring your WIP to work alongside other (socially distant) writers at the O.C. Writers’ Monday Morning write-in at High Ground Coffee House (25522 Marguerite Parkway, #102, Mission Viejo). O.C. Writers member Barb DeLong generally arrives around 8 a.m. and leads a breakout discussion at 11 a.m. for those who want to take a break. High Ground offers indoor and outdoor work tables, but all are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The shop follows current Covid rules. AUGUST 24: Lake Forest Writers’ Roundtable discussion group, featuring writing and publishing business topics, takes place from 10:45 a.m. to noon on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. To receive Zoom access information, email Roundtable leader Barb DeLong at delongbarb15@gmail.com.
