During the battle for her city, Tania kills 143, second only to Zaitsev. When she left her sniper hide, the last thing dying Nazis saw was her white-blonde hair. They told the medic, ‘A white witch shot me. She floated up out of the rubble and vanished.’ After the battle of Kursk 16 year old Tania re-trains all the snipers in a Soviet general’s entire Army. Stalin orders her to kill a Soviet Hero and make it look like a Nazi sniper did it. She does not. An angry Stalin sends her to Slovakia to kill four SS deserters.
