Seeking Crits and Reads for October

SEEKING CRITS AND READS is a free monthly opportunity for O.C. Writers to find critique partners, beta readers, and book reviewers, and this month, we’re switching up how we do it to make it simpler than ever.

If you’re looking for feedback, just post your request in the comments below.

What’s allowed?

Requests for critique partners, beta readers, and honest reviews on books supplied by the author.

What should the request entail?

A brief explanation of what you’re looking for, which should at least include your genre and contact information.

May I make multiple requests?

Yes!

And that’s it. So simple, right? If there’s someone out there who can help you get the feedback you need, we want to help you two connect. After all, we’re all in this crazy writerly world together, so let’s make the best of it.

SEEKING CRITS AND READS runs the third Wednesday of the month. For more information, email info@oc-writers.com.

  1. I’m looking for reviews for my book, Mystic Prince. It is epic fantasy and has won two Firebird Book awards, with nothing but 4 and 5 star reviews on Amazon (more 5 than 4 :-). Any insights as to what I could do better would be most welcome, aside from including a map (I know about that one).

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Hi, I’m interested in reading your book. I’m also looking for a critique partner for my WIP. Let me know if you’re interested. Thanks.

  2. Looking for reviews of ZRADA, the first book in the DeWitt Agency Adventures series (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076C6F56N/).

A brutal betrayal leaves ex-cop Carson far inside war-torn eastern Ukraine with a suitcase full of cash and a huge target on her back. Now she has to survive the only way out.

I’d prefer reviews on Amazon, Kobo, Goodreads, or on your blog if you have one. I can supply a MOBI or ePub copy if you’re interested.

  3. Looking for reviews of STEALING GHOSTS, the second book in the DeWitt Agency Files series (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076C6F56N/).

The Nazis stole her portrait from the family, then the Soviets stole it from the Nazis, then a Russian oligarch stole it from the Soviets. Her family hired the DeWitt Agency to get it back – and they don’t care how.

I’d prefer reviews on Amazon, Kobo, Goodreads, or on your blog if you have one. I can supply a MOBI or ePub copy if you’re interested.
