FEBRUARY 9: O.C. Writers’ All-Genre Critique Group is an opportunity for writers to get and give feedback on participants’ work-in-progress. The program takes place at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. The group is currently full. To be added to the waitlist, send an email to group leader  Cee Cee Wakefield at info@oc-writers.com.

FEBRUARY 11: O.C. Writers’ weekly Roundtable discussion group, featuring writing and publishing business topics, takes place from 10:30 to noon on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. To receive Zoom access information, email Roundtable leader Casey Dorman at info@oc-writers.com.

FEBRUARY 11: The Huntington Beach Friends of the Library will feature historical mystery author Patricia Wynn to discuss her novels at 4 p.m. as part of its free online author events series. https://www.fotlhb.com.

FEBRUARY 11: Foothill Ranch Library Writers Support & Critique Group Zoom meeting. Read your work and be prepared to provide critique to others. This free group meets weekly from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Contact stella.carruth@occr.ocgov.com for more information and for the Zoom invite.

FEBRUARY 11: Book Carnival will host a virtual event with authors Jennifer Hillier (Little Secrets) and Glen Erik Hamilton (A Dangerous Breed) in conversation with Maddie Margarita at 6 p.m. For Zoom information, visit www.AnnesBookCarnival.com/Events.

FEBRUARY 13: The monthly meeting of the Orange County chapter of Romance Writers of America will feature “Writing the Heartfelt Rom-Com,” a presentation by author Lyssa Kay Adams, starting at 10 a.m. $5 for OCCRWA members and others. http://occrwa.org/chapter-meetings.
