Our Thanks

The O.C. Writers Monthly Update

by Megan Haskell

Time for Giving Thanks

It’s November. A month filled with the bustle of early holiday preparations and Thanksgiving. This month, as you might imagine, has a theme of gratitude. On the blog, we’ll be learning to appreciate the little things, build on the experiences we’ve had in our lives, and foster strong relationships with our communities.

I’d like to take this moment to say “Thank You” to everyone who participates in the O.C. Writers community.

We officially launched this blog in August, and thanks to our wonderful monthly contributors, things have been going strong since day one. We’ve had some fantastic posts on everything from building healthy habits, to law enforcement myths, and the inner workings of the publishing process. We’ve discussed the ways in which we foster a creative lifestyle and shared the local area events that make living and writing in Orange County so great. And we’ve even delved into the terrors of the traditional query process and opened ourselves up for criticism. Thank you for sharing your words with us!

And thank you to our readers, the reason for our existence. The O.C. Writers community could not function without your active participation in the blog and Facebook group. We’ll be launching a survey soon to ask what more we can provide for you, our readers, our writers…our community. Keep an eye out and share your thoughts. Just like in the upcoming election, every voice matters.

I can’t wait to see what our future will bring.
