FEBRUARY 6: Bring your WIP to work alongside other (socially distant) writers at the O.C. Writers’ Monday Morning write-in at High Ground Coffee House (25522 Marguerite Parkway, #102, Mission Viejo). O.C. Writers member Barb DeLong generally arrives around 8 a.m. and leads a breakout discussion at 11 a.m. for those who want to take a break. High Ground offers indoor and outdoor work tables, but all are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The shop follows current Covid rules. FEBRUARY 9: Lake Forest Writers’ Roundtable discussion group, featuring writing and publishing business topics, takes place from 10:45 a.m. to noon on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. To receive Zoom access information, email Roundtable leader Barb DeLong at delongbarb15@gmail.com.
FEBRUARY 11: The O.C. Romance Writers (formerly the O.C. branch of the Romance Writers of America) will feature a presentation on “Taming the Fear of Missing Out” with author Jacqueline Diamond and “Graphic Design for the Non-designer” with Leslie V. Knowles, starting at 10 a.m. for its monthly meeting. The meeting with be held online and in-person at the Brea Civic Center (1 Civic Center Circle, Brea). Register online before 2 p.m. Feb. 10.
