OCTOBER 31: Bring your WIP to work alongside other (socially distant) writers at the O.C. Writers’ Monday Morning write-in at High Ground Coffee House (25522 Marguerite Parkway, #102, Mission Viejo). O.C. Writers member Barb DeLong generally arrives around 8 a.m. and leads a breakout discussion at 11 a.m. for those who want to take a break. High Ground offers indoor and outdoor work tables, but all are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The shop follows current Covid rules. NOVEMBER 3: Lake Forest Writers’ Roundtable discussion group, featuring writing and publishing business topics, takes place from 10:45 a.m. to noon on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. To receive Zoom access information, email Roundtable leader Barb DeLong at delongbarb15@gmail.com.
NOVEMBER 5: The Anaheim Library presents Indie Author Day with local California authors and poets, published independently and via small press, in a day of education, networking, readings, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Anaheim Central Library, 500 W. NOVEMBER 5: California Writers Club of Orange County will feature “If You Can’t Stand the Heat… Stay in the Kitchen and Write About It,” a presentation by D.J.
