JUNE 8: O.C. Writers’ weekly Home But Not Alone Virtual Write-in offers structured writing sprints starting at 9 a.m. and breaks to chat about writing and publishing topics from 11 a.m. to noon with the Patch Coffee/OC Writers’ Writers’ Meet-up on Zoom. JUNE 9: O.C. Writers’ All-Genre Critique Group is an opportunity for writers to get and give feedback on participants’ work-in-progress. The program takes place at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom. JUNE 10: Book Carnival will host a virtual event with mystery novelist D.P. Lyle speaking about his book Rigged at 6 p.m. on Zoom. Check the website for details. https://www.annesbookcarnival.com/events/

JUNE 11: O.C. Writers’ weekly Roundtable discussion group, featuring writing and publishing business topics, takes place from 10:30 to noon on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. To receive Zoom access information, email Roundtable leader Casey Dorman at info@oc-writers.com.

JUNE 11: Foothill Ranch Library Writers Support and Critique Group Zoom meeting. Read your work and be prepared to provide critique to others. This free group meets from 5 to 6:30 p.m. weekly. Email stella.carruth@occr.ocgov.com for details and the Zoom invitation.

JUNE 13: The Orange County chapter of Romance Writers of America will feature “Beyond Colorblind: From Awareness to Action,” an online talk and interactive workshop with Adam Sanford on Zoom from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. $5. Check the website for more information. occrwa.org.
