MARCH 27: Bring your WIP to work alongside other (socially distant) writers at the O.C. Writers’ Monday Morning write-in at High Ground Coffee House (25522 Marguerite Parkway, #102, Mission Viejo). O.C. Writers member Barb DeLong generally arrives around 8 a.m. and leads a breakout discussion at 11 a.m. for those who want to take a break. High Ground offers indoor and outdoor work tables, but all are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The shop follows current Covid rules. MARCH 29: The Susi Q presents An Evening with an Author, featuring novelist Susan Straight in conversation with Merrie Stone, at 5 p.m. at 380 Third Street, Laguna Beach. Limited seating. Registration required. $25, includes a copy of Straight’s latest novel, Mecca. thesusiq.org.
