SEPTEMBER 5: Bring your WIP to work alongside other (socially distant) writers at the O.C. Writers’ Monday Morning write-in at High Ground Coffee House (25522 Marguerite Parkway, #102, Mission Viejo). O.C. Writers member Barb DeLong generally arrives around 8 a.m. and leads a breakout discussion at 11 a.m. for those who want to take a break. High Ground offers indoor and outdoor work tables, but all are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The shop follows current Covid rules. SEPTEMBER 8: Lake Forest Writers’ Roundtable discussion group, featuring writing and publishing business topics, takes place from 10:45 a.m. to noon on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. SEPTEMBER 10: The O.C. Romance Writers (formerly the O.C. branch of the Romance Writers of America) will meet online at 10 a.m. http://ocromancewriters.org.
SEPTEMBER 10: OC Zine Fest returns to Anaheim Public Library’s Central Library from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Meet dozens of zine creators and artists and attend panel discussions and workshops to spark your creativity at this annual celebration of DIY culture and free expression. Central Library is at 500 W. Broadway, Anaheim. Admission is free. https://anaheim.net/5005/OC-Zine-Fest.
