DECEMBER 6: Bring your WIP to work alongside other (socially distant) writers at the O.C. Writers’ Monday Morning write-in at Patch Coffee (29100 Portola Pkwy, Lake Forest). O.C. Writers Community Director Barb DeLong generally arrives around 8:30 a.m. and leads a breakout discussion at 11 a.m. for those who want to take a break. Patch offers indoor and outdoor work tables, but all are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The shop follows current Covid rules. DECEMBER 8: Join the O.C. Writers Meet and Greet Lunch for an early bite and writerly conversation in the common patio area between Corner Bakery and the movie theater at the Irvine Marketplace, 13786D Jamboree Road. RSVP requested.
DECEMBER 9: O.C. Writers’ weekly Roundtable discussion group, featuring writing and publishing business topics, takes place from 11 a.m. to noon on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. To receive Zoom access information, email Roundtable leader Casey Dorman at info@oc-writers.com.
DECEMBER 11: Book Carnival will host an in-store event with authors Maria DiRico (It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder), Naomi Hirahara (Clark and Division), and Jennifer J.
