Announcing: New Tustin Write-In

Hi, writers — I’m excited to announce we will be adding a new weekly write-in from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursdays beginning July 15 at the Arvida Book Co. (115 W. Main St., Tustin). Like the weekly Monday morning write-in at Patch Coffee (29100 Portola Pkwy, Lake Forest), the new write-in will be an opportunity to work on your manuscript or other writerly business in the company of other writers. There’s no cost to attend, but we encourage participants to support these small businesses by making a purchase to show your appreciation for their support.

I’d also like to thank Dawn Hubbard for organizing the new event and stepping up to lead the group. If you don’t already know Dawn, she’s a freelance writer, editor, cataloger, and cookbook author who hails from the Pacific Northwest. A librarian in training, although not by trade, you’ll most often find her writing or with her nose in a book at an indie bookstore—ideally one with coffee and cats. An enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, she is currently working on a contemporary romance novel, a short story collection, and a chapbook on grief. In her spare time, she enjoys restoring vintage typewriters and making native star quilts.
