Remember when we talked about style guides and how they can help writers improve the quality of their manuscripts? Have you started one for yourself yet?
If you haven’t but would like to, you might want to check out the brand-new O.C. Writers’ customizable WRITER’S STYLE GUIDE STARTER KIT.
This resource is designed to help you navigate and improve your unique path to better writing. I’ve included some optional information to help you begin, but it’s only a starting point. As you move along your writing journey and encounter trouble spots or make choices about spelling, punctuation, and grammar, you should add that information to this guide. The more you add, the more helpful the guide will become.

Interesting. I was just thinking of this. My protagonist is a bit more formal than those around her and doesn’t use contractions. I find that I have to remind myself of that often and make corrections. This would be handy tool to capture other details for consistency. Thank you!
Hi, Kaitlyn! I hope the guide works for you. It’s been invaluable for me 🙂
