JUNE 7: Bring your WIP to work alongside other (socially distant) writers at the O.C. Writers’ Monday Morning write-in at Patch Coffee (29100 Portola Pkwy, Lake Forest). O.C. Writers Community Director Barb DeLong generally arrives around 8:30 a.m. and leads a breakout discussion at 11 a.m. for those who want to take a break. Patch offers indoor and outdoor work tables, but all are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The shop follows current Covid rules. JUNE 8: O.C. Writers’ All-Genre Critique Group is an opportunity for writers to get and give feedback on participants’ work-in-progress. The program takes place at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. The group is currently full. To be added to the waitlist, send an email to group leader Cee Cee Wakefield at info@oc-writers.com.

JUNE 10: O.C. Writers’ weekly Roundtable discussion group, featuring writing and publishing business topics, takes place from 10:30 to noon on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. To receive Zoom access information, email Roundtable leader Casey Dorman at info@oc-writers.com.

JUNE 10: Foothill Ranch Library Writers Support & Critique Group Zoom meeting. Read your work and be prepared to provide critique to others. This free group meets weekly from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Contact stella.carruth@occr.ocgov.com for more information and for the Zoom invite.

JUNE 11: Summer Storytime in Old Towne Orange, a free children’s program, will feature special guest Jack Carlisle of The Potting Shed at 9 a.m. in front of Tiddlywinks OC, 129 N. Glassell St., Orange. http://tiddlywinksoc.com.

JUNE 12: The monthly meeting of the Orange County chapter of Romance Writers of America will feature a presentation on “World Building: Making the Ordinary Extraordinary,” by Jeanne Lin, starting at 10 a.m. $5 for OCCRWA members and others. http://occrwa.org/chapter-meetings.

JUNE 13: Book Carnival will host a virtual event with author Tanya Katnic to discuss her novel Our Mother Away From Home at 5 p.m. Check the website for more information. http://www.annesbookcarnival.com/events.
