JANUARY 19: O.C. Writers’ All-Genre Critique Group is an opportunity for writers to get and give feedback on participants’ work-in-progress. The program takes place at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom. JANUARY 20: The Mission Viejo Library and Warwick’s Bookstore will host historical fiction author Melanie Benjamin discussing her new book, The Children’s Blizzard, with author Elizabeth Letts in a free online event at 4 p.m. Registration is required. https://www.warwicks.com/event/benjamin-2021.

JANUARY 21: O.C. Writers’ weekly Roundtable discussion group, featuring writing and publishing business topics, takes place from 10:30 to noon on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. To receive Zoom access information, email Roundtable leader Casey Dorman at info@oc-writers.com.

JANUARY 21: Foothill Ranch Library Writers Support & Critique Group Zoom meeting. Read your work and be prepared to provide critique to others. This free group meets weekly from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Contact stella.carruth@occr.ocgov.com for more information and for the Zoom invite.

JANUARY 24: The O.C. Sisters in Crime will feature a discussion with novelist Thomas Perry and literature professor and television writer Jo Perry at its monthly meeting, which begins at 3 p.m. Check ocsistersincrime.org for the Zoom link.
