DECEMBER 8: O.C. Writers’ All-Genre Critique Group is an opportunity for writers to get and give feedback on participants’ work-in-progress. The program takes place at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. https://www.facebook.com/events/2805373476231549.

DECEMBER 10: O.C. Writers’ weekly Roundtable discussion group, featuring writing and publishing business topics, takes place from 10:30 to noon on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. To receive Zoom access information, email Roundtable leader Casey Dorman at info@oc-writers.com.

DECEMBER 10: Huntington Beach Friends of the Library will feature Sara Morgenthaler, author of holiday rom-com Mistletoe and Mr. Right, at 4 p.m. for a free virtual discussion. Learn more at www.fotlhb.com/programs–special-events_1.html.

DECEMBER 10: Foothill Ranch Library Writers Support & Critique Group Zoom meeting. Read your work and be prepared to provide critique to others. This free group meets weekly from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Contact stella.carruth@occr.ocgov.com for more information and for the Zoom invite.

DECEMBER 12: The monthly meeting of the Orange County chapter of Romance Writers of America will feature “Many Roads to Publication,” a presentation by Holly Kammier of Acorn Publishing, starting at 10 a.m. The presentation will take place on Zoom and requires pre-registration. $5 for OCCRWA members and others. http://occrwa.org/chapter-meetings.

DECEMBER 13: The O.C. Sisters in Crime will hold a virtual happy hour holiday party, featuring Matt Coyle, fun and game, beginning at 4 p.m. via Zoom. To learn more, visit ocsistersincrime.org.
