JUNE 15: O.C. Writers’ weekly Home But Not Alone Virtual Write-in offers structured writing sprints starting at 9 a.m. and breaks to chat about writing and publishing topics from 11 a.m. to noon with the Patch Coffee/O.C. Writers’ Writers’ Meet-up on Zoom. Participants are free to come and go any time during the event. Learn more at the Facebook Group.
JUNE 16: O.C. Writers’ All-Genre Critique Group is an opportunity for writers to get and give feedback on participants’ work-in-progress. The program takes place at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom. JUNE 18: Friends of the Library-Huntington Beach Public Library will present author Julie Clark speaking about her latest book, The Last Flight, on Facebook Live at 4 p.m. The event is free, but reservations are requested at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/online-author-event-suspense-novelist-julie-clark-tickets-107398068514.
JUNE 18: Book Carnival will host a virtual event with mystery novelist Ed Ruggero speaking about his book Blame the Dead at 6 p.m. on Zoom. Check the website for details. https://www.annesbookcarnival.com/events/
JUNE 18: The Anaheim Public Library will hold their Virtual Open Mic Night at 6 p.m. for select performance videos of an original work, up to 3 minutes long (poem, story, song, etc.). Deadline for submission of your piece is June 10. For more information, contact Lisa Weber at LWeber@anaheim.net.
