MAY 1-31: O.C. Writers’ May The Muse Be With You, a monthlong productivity event, offers daily check-ins to record your writing progress, cheer your colleagues, and focus on your goals. Check out the free online program at https://www.facebook.com/events/913754315736170.

MAY 25: O.C. Writers’ weekly Home But Not Alone Virtual Write-in offers structured writing sprints starting at 9 a.m. and breaks to chat about writing and publishing topics from 11 a.m. to noon with the Patch Coffee/OC Writers’ Writers’ Meet-up on Zoom. MAY 26*: O.C. Writers’ All-Genre Critique Group is an opportunity for writers to get and give feedback on participants’ work-in-progress. The program will be testing a new format that includes a Zoom discussion from noon to 2 p.m. For instructions, please check the “About” section of the Facebook Event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/592226584833901. *Rescheduled from original May 25 date.

MAY 28: O.C. Writers’ weekly Roundtable discussion group, featuring writing and publishing business topics, takes place from 10:30 to noon on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to the public. To receive Zoom access information, email Roundtable leader Casey Dorman at info@oc-writers.com.

MAY 28: Foothill Ranch Library Writers Support and Critique Group Zoom meeting. Read your work and be prepared to provide critique to others. This free group meets from 5 to 6:30 p.m. weekly. Email stella.carruth@occr.ocgov.com for details and the Zoom invitation.

MAY 29: Laguna Beach Books Signature Series will feature a virtual event with Kevin C. O’Leary, who will discuss Madison’s Sorrow: Today’s War on the Founders and America’s Liberal Ideal with UC Irvine professor Charles Anthony Smith at 5 p.m. on Zoom.
