You might have noticed the OC-Writers.com website looks a little different, but that’s not the only change. We’ve also added some new features we think you’re going to like.
Take a look:
- A new LITERARY CALENDAR pulls together the most comprehensive list of workshops, programs, and events for writers and publishing creatives in Orange County, with a spotlight called THE NEXT 7 that will appear on OC-Writers.com on Sundays to preview the coming week’s events.
- GOOD WRITERLY NEWS will be a monthly roundup of publishing milestones that we’ll share on OC-Writers.com on the first Wednesday of the month starting in May.
- SEEKING CRITS & READS will be a new monthly opportunity for writers to recruit critique partners, beta readers, and book reviewers beginning in May. It will appear on the third Wednesday of the month on OC-Writers.com.
For information on how to submit information for these new features, please visit our SUBMISSIONS page.

Sounds great! This is the kind of help and services for authors that I have always looked for in a writers group.
Thank you, Larry! There are so many ways we can help each other move forward on our writer journeys 🙂
DeAnna. This is Rob Johnson checking out O.C. Writers per your post in Creative Collective. My question is, given that I live on the East coast, will it be worthwhile for me to sit in here? I’d really like to work with other writers in a supportive environment, but many of your events seem like they may be in-person.
Hi, Rob — Thanks for checking out the group! Some of the events and features are local, but the FB group and the critique partner/beta reader listings are not limited. The write-ins and critique group also are running as Facebook Events too, so they are available to anyone.
