Discover your new favorite author while sipping wine in an idyllic setting.
May is all about women at O.C. Writers. We love the guys too, but wanted to focus on issues that are uniquely feminine in this Mother’s Day month.
Female writers, believe it or not, still have a harder time breaking into publishing in many genres. They often have to juggle the home front, the job front, and their writing habit. But in our opinion, many have a unique point of view readers need to experience.
Which is why, we’re co-hosting Orange County’s first Wine, Women, and Words Festival with Giracci Vineyard and Farms!
Join us May 12, from 4-7 pm for an afternoon of wine tasting, author panels, music, food, book signings, shopping, and more!
This month on the blog we’ll be featuring many of the authors who will be at the festival, in addition to our regular contributors discussions of female monsters, kick-ass female characters, and more. Stay tuned!
Next Month: June Gloom
Send us your gloomiest posts. Tell us how you deal with gloomy subjects in your writing, bad reviews, rejection letters. How do you find your way through the stormy seas of the Amazon market place? We all need some encouragement, education and entertainment. Help us out and submit your articles to Megan@OCWriters.Network by Saturday, May 26th. Check the Submission Guidelines for more details.
