Freedom!
The fourth of July. It’s synonymous with freedom and independence, our country’s celebration of everything that it means to be American. But what does it mean for writers?
This month, we’ll be discussing freedom in all its forms. Freedom of speech. Freedom from gatekeepers. Freedom to pursue our creative endeavors in whatever way we wish. Even how to get books into libraries, where readers can borrow them for free.

Weekly Blog Post Digest
To that end, we’ve decided to make a slight change in our newsletter policy. In addition to our once-a-month newsletter, subscribers will now have the option to receive a weekly digest of the latest blog posts from the O.C. Writers website. Current subscribers will automatically be opted into the new list, but you can easily change your subscription preferences at any time. August 19th will be our second O.C. Writers workshop at the Foothill Ranch library. Jeff Michaels will be teaching us all about short stories. You won’t want to miss it! Doors open at 10am, the workshop begins at 10:30.
